Corrugated Fanfold can be manufactured in a variety of widths, liner-board weights and strengths. It has a distinct advantage over finished converted boxes, because it provides a custom solution that allows a packaging department to pull the continuous sheet of corrugated to length and cut to exact sizes. This increases corrugated yield and reduces box inventory on the shelf. Corrugated fanfold may not be optimal for every application but purchasing fanfold in average and nominal widths for multiple carton sizes gives a company the flexibility to simplify their corrugated supply chain. Fanfold can be coated with many different types of coatings to meet certain specifications and applications. For instance the construction trade and metal building industry uses corrugated fanfold to ship extruded trim pieces that may present a challenge using custom corrugated boxes. Every building is custom to size and design which requires specific size components, to make or design a carton to ship these trim pieces in would be cost prohibitive. Fanfold allows the manufacturer to package and ship their various size materials to the job site in a secure water resistant package. The coatings for corrugated sheets, boxes and fanfold have been engineered specifically for moisture resistance, moisture vapor transmission, conductivity, anti-static, anti corrosion, anti skid and many other environmental applications. These coatings are generally applied inline on the corrugator by roll-coating or a blade coating type application. Corrugated Fanfold is also used with CNC box making equipment to convert boxes on demand and in sequence with production. To learn more visit: http://www.cardboardboxes4u.com/corrugated-fanfold/
